Twitch Affiliate Payout

On 10/12/23 I received my first Twitch payout since becoming a Twitch Affiliate, which was $62.56. If you don't already know you have to have earned at least $50 before you'll receive a payout. I became an Affiliate on 7/24/23 so that means it took me less than 3 months to earn that amount. When I set up my ads to run I eventually set it to where I could get the max payout with as few ads as possible. On top of revenue through ads, you can also earn money from bits, subscribers, etc. Even with Twitch's recent discounted subscriber deal they had running during this time, I haven't been able to get more than 5 subs at a time and I'm currently down to 2 subs.

The above Twitch chart basically tells me that I earned about $3.32 an hour in profit from my final payout amount, and keep in mind that Twitch also took their cut off my final earnings and other fees and such that applied to this overall payout. While I am definitely not quitting my day job to be a full-time Twitch streamer right now (as the minimum wage where I live is $12/hr and I make significantly more at my actual job), it's still nice to get paid just for doing what I'd probably be doing at home in my free time anyway.

In reality, I'm really not earning anything in the long run because I'm probably spending more money toward the game buying outfits, characters, etc as well as items for streaming like my headset. If I break even though in the long run, that's like everything paying for itself in the end (girl math, am I right?!). I'm not a big streamer at this point and I only recently got to 300 Followers but I hope this helps anyone out there who's looking to earn money through streaming on Twitch. Just remember that your first earnings will definitely vary from my own and this amount will vary with every payout received in the future.
