As of 7/24/23 at 2pm EST, I officially became a Twitch Affiliate! It's been a fun 5 months of streaming on Twitch and I have 225 amazing Followers thus far, and I can't wait to continue gaming with everyone and keep on growing my channel. I've really been eagerly waiting for this moment since I got my first 50 followers months ago and last night after my stream I knew it was either going to happen today or like two weeks from today because I was really working on keeping my viewer numbers up. So a big thank you to everyone for all your support, lurks, raids, chats, and friendship.
So what's next for my channel?
I think I'm just going to keep it simple and create a list of what I hope to achieve within a year's time, outside of the obvious being streaming on Twitch.
- Create Merch - I know some of you seemed interested in a poster and I do currently have my Etsy shop which will likely be closed until I move in October. So I'm going to work on getting merch made as I did start a Zazzle but for some reason, nothing I designed has loaded up on there so either I try to get that working or I move to another merch platform.
- Create Emotes - I want to create some fun free and sub emotes on my channel that I hope everyone can enjoy using throughout the Twitch Community. Personally, I think great emotes that are very diverse could be enough to make some people sub to your stream (maybe that's just me though) not to mention they basically act like fun ads as they link back to the creators' channel. I'm sure there are a bunch of other graphics I'll be making as well for my channel as I learn what I'm capable of doing now as a Twitch affiliate (there are certain features only available to affiliates in case you didn't know).
- Live Stream - I do want to stream where I craft and do my artwork on my channel and talk to everyone on a more personal level, I really love this idea because I can now make money doing what I enjoy and hopefully promote my little Etsy Shop in the process to make more sales over there. I also feel like there's some untapped potential here because I don't see many artists on Twitch doing what I do exactly.
- New Office Setup - Since I am moving in October I want to put together a nice fun professional-looking office setup (I will be posting more on that) where I can either stream or do my artwork from. I really don't think I want the typical gamer room setup (I think because Twitch is often a much younger audience than myself and I'd rather have a more trendy/edgy mature console gamer setup), I'm always a little different than the norm anyway so, we'll see what happens but I think it'll be nice in the end.
- Twitch Partner - I feel like it would be cool if I ever reached this point on Twitch (only 775 more followers to go) but I don't think I'm going to kill myself getting there as right now I'd project that number in around 12-16 months (based on the rate of my current following count), which is a ways away unless I somehow became Twitch insta-famous for some odd reason.
- YouTube Content - I have been wanting to stream on my new YouTube account I created but I've yet to make the leap so I hope to start that in the coming months or at least put out a little content on there so I can branch out a smidge.
Ultimately, I hope this post becomes a time capsule that I can look back on a year from now to see how I did in achieving some of these tasks. Again, a huge thank you to everyone that helped get me to this point on my Twitch channel.
